really tried to put my self out there to interact with Japanese students. Luckily Kyoto University does an amazing job with connecting international students with Kyoto University students. I am currently standing infront of KIZUNA. The support center for international students. They hold events for students once a month and have a application for international student and Kyoto University to meet. I took full advantage of this opportunity and already made two Japanese's students.

It has been one week since school started. It has been a very fun experience so far. There are two interesting aspects in Kyoto University. The fist aspect is that there are set times for class. Unlike in the University of Hawaii where you are able to take a class at any time. In Japan, there are set time slots that students must take class at. The second part that I found interesting is that the cafeteria actually serve home style food. There isn't just pizza or a sandwich in America. Kyoto University serves more hearty foods. I have attached a video to show what Kyoto University cafeteria looks like.
I had to report to Kyoto University at least one week before class starts. There are many paper works that I was required to do when I arrive. I had to go to the city hall to register my address and buy the national health insurance ( mandatory even though I already have health insurance). The health insurance will cost around $20 a month. I was also be able to pick the class that I want to register as well the first week before school.
